Hailing from Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Sri Shazliza Sharmie, fondly known as Liza, graduated with an LLB (Hons) from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) and was called to the Malaysian Bar in 2022.

She began her legal journey at AmerBON, Advocates under the tutelage of Amer Hamzah Arshad, gaining invaluable experience in civil and criminal litigation while actively participating in pro bono work. Liza then joined the litigation department at Azmi & Associates, where she further developed her expertise in dispute resolution and advocacy.

Passionate about animal welfare, Liza became involved with Justice for Wildlife Malaysia, where she advocates for the protection of wildlife animals and the environment. In 2024, Liza joined Sabreena Abrizan & Co., bringing her diverse legal background and dedication to justice to spearhead the firm’s litigation department.

A proud Sabahan, Liza combines her professionalism and compassion to deliver impactful solutions for her clients and causes.
